Date: Jan 25, 2012Highlights of the January 2012 Conservancy Board of Trustees General Meeting
*During the Homeowners’ Forum a resident asked about jurisdiction of maintenance of the Village Center as the pavers are in disrepair. The Wormald Companies own the Gazebo and all the undeveloped area surrounding it. The area is roped off to prevent injury and Robert Wormald stated the pavers will be repaired in two to four weeks.
*The last meeting of the Ad Hoc Berms Committee was 12/8/11. The scope of work for the Committee is a long term master plan for the infrastructure for entire community. It is a complex, arduous task and, therefore, the approach is to address infrastructure one section at a time. The work continues with a meeting scheduled for 2/2/12 in the morning.
*Concerns have been raised across several clusters regarding the types of mowers used during landscaping season. Assistant General Manager Debbie Montgomery and cluster council chairs will meet with Ruppert on March 7 and Brickman on March 21 asking the landscapers to bring the types of mowers used for different areas. (During the next ACC Chairs meeting on January 23, they also will be invited to attend. Questions for the landscapers will be gathered prior to the meeting so they come prepared with answers.)
*The Social Club at their last meeting narrowed many suggested events to six: game night; German dinner in Hagerstown; Charlestown races; Keys game; Mardi Gras dinner dance; and a wine tasting excursion.
*The Conservancy Board of Trustees meetings are scheduled for the 2012 year. They are February 15, March 14, April 25, May 9, June 13, July 11, September 12, October 10, and November 14. The Annual Meeting will be on April 18 at Homewood.
*The Board approved a $5,000 retainer for legal counsel in the First Energy issue, with Thomas Lynch III of the firm of Miles & Stockbridge having been retained. (See more on First Energy below.)
